The probable best course of action is in the middle, George. There is a very distinct difference
between privacy and secrecy. What is chosen to be posted to a list such as this should be, likely
is, tempered by the poster's best judgement. I was a professional newsman for many years and worked
with media journalists for many more. And, more than once, we all made a "street decision" on what
details of a story were not necessarily germane to publishing the essence of the story. As said
above, there is a difference between the privacy of one's communications and actions and secrecy. I
likely would have posted the listing with a comment as to the direction of the air to air but not
details. Others might see fit to air every word. The only trouble with that is keeping up top of
mind that the same might happen to you some day. How would you want others to treat your candid
comments? Yes, we all should be aware of the medium through which we communicate, but, as adults (?)
we also should have developed a sense of responsibility to the medium, our interests and ourselves
if we are to be a cut above the monkeys.
