*NOTE* the June meeting will be at the Hudsonville Fairgrounds following Ray's Roadkill Potluck. You do not have to purchase a hamfest ticket for the meeting, but you WERE planning on the hamfest, right?

Holland Amateur Radio Club (HARC) monthly meeting, second Tuesday of the month, June 5, 2018.
For the foreseeable future, the club will hold general meetings on the second Tuesday of the month and E.A.T. meetings will be held on fourth Tuesday of the month, both at 7pm. HIAD (Ham in a Day) class, Saturday, June 9 in Lowell.
“Ham in a Day” Held at Flat River Outreach Ministries, 11535 Fulton ST. E (Hwy M-21), Lowell.  This is an opportunity for anyone wishing to get their amateur radio technician license to study and take the exam all in one afternoon. Directed study starts at 1:00 and continues till 6:00, when the test will be given. For registration and more information http://w8lrc.org/hiad-registration/   Cost for the Ham in a Day study session is $25. Also, anyone holding a current technician or general licenses may arrive at 6:00 and take the test to upgrade at no cost. Anyone whose license is within 90 days of expiring can also renew their license between 6:00 and the end of testing at no charge.

IEEE West MI Section Meeting at GVSU downtown campus on JT-8 Digital communications protocol, Thursday June 14th, 6PM. Lecture hall is Room 124 in the Kennedy Hall of Engineering (the main Engineering Building). Video of the talk given by Professor Joe Taylor K1JT about the FT-8 and WSPR modes at the 2018 MicroHAMS Digital Conference on March 24.
“RSVPs would be appreciated so we know roughly how many sandwiches, etc. to order but people may come at the last minute. Guests (mainly local radio hams) and students whether IEEE members or not are also invited of course.”

Holland ARC E.A.T. meeting (Education And Training) is the fourth Tuesday, June 26, 7 pm at the Chick-Owa Sportsman’s Club located at 9279 E. Ottogan Street (just west of Winding Creek). The club has purchased a series of instructional electronics videos which are around 30 minutes long. This will be followed by discussion and/or demonstration.
Open to the public need not be a HARC member or have an amateur radio license to attend.
