We still need help for the Muskegon Air Fair. If you can help e mail or call
Mark ASAP please. Thanks Tom
Help still needed at the Air Fair
I still need people on Friday for relief. The shifts are long that day, we
work from 6am to midnight, and a few posts require coverage for the entire
time. If you can help at all, for at least 2 hours or more, on Friday I
would appreciate the help.
I can also use a few more people for the Sunday show. That show runs 6am to
5pm or so.
I have a spot open for a scribe and perhaps a telephone operator that do not
require ham licenses, just good communication and organizational skills.
The scribe will assist the net control operators with keeping track of
things in the MCARES MCV. The telephone operator will coordinate traffic
coming in from Nextel 2-way phones and perhaps some regular land line units.
That operator may be in the MCV as well.
Chalet Information
We have a chalet at the start of the second row this year. A chalet pass
includes entrance to the Air Fair and our Security Chalet plus a meal.
Meals will be served at a certain time during the show so one would have to
be present at that time for their meal. As this is our first year with the
chalet, I do not know the exact schedule. The chalets are for our guests.
Security personnel get their meals from the Security Operations Group Field
Nutrition Specialist installation next to the County EOC. If a Security
Operator would like to join his / her family in the chalet, no problem.
Just go over to the EOC and grab what you want and take it into the chalet.
The are not too far apart. Each day of operation gets a chalet pass to give
out.
Many hands make light work.
The more people we can get to work with us the better. If you know of a
person with Air Fair experience, EMT experience or security experience that
has a Nextel 2-way phone, please contact me, there may be a position for
them.
Thanks much,
