Looking in the Mouser catalog, I see a Weller that can have .010
diameter tips. WSL soldering station with WMP iron. $259 for the pair
new. The iron alone is $99 and runs on 24 volts, though the soldering
station gives temperature control that a 24 volt source might not.

Perhaps a search through silicon valley surplus stores could turn up
good equipment.
