[MFJ-Ameritron] MFJ-259 Sleep Mode

That's for a MFJ-259B, mine is the plain 259, i don't have a MODE button, 
just INPUT and GATE.  I tried both but don't get the Power Saving OFF 
message.

The instructions for disabling the sleep mode are on page 6 of the manual:

Press and hold the "MODE" button before turning the unit on, and release the
"MODE" button after the copyright message appears in the display.  If you
did this correctly, the display will momentarily show "Power Saving OFF."

Is there a way to defeat the sleep mode on the MFJ-259 analyzer?  Every time
i just about have the antenna where i want it, bam, it goes to sleep mode
and i have to stop what i am doing and tap the input back and forth or shut
it off and turn it on to get it to wake up again and display the frequency
and swr readings.

I read through the manual but can't find any mention of it.  Running it off
a wall adapter most of the time anyway so i don't care about battery life.

SUPER ANNOYING!
