[MFJ-Ameritron] MFJ-259 Sleep Mode

Is there a way to defeat the sleep mode on the MFJ-259 analyzer?  Every time i just about have the antenna where i want it, bam, it goes to sleep mode and i have to stop what i am doing and tap the input back and forth or shut it off and turn it on to get it to wake up again and display the frequency and swr readings.

I read through the manual but can't find any mention of it.  Running it off a wall adapter most of the time anyway so i don't care about battery life.

SUPER ANNOYING!
