Hello Guys,

mni tnx to all that have replied to my question frm 3-GW 11-G 1-EA 3-DL

here some replies :

A "fair" complexion/skin is one without marks or blemishes.
A "fair" wind is a steady wind in the right direction for a sailing ship.
A "fair" game is one where there is no cheating or malpractice.
So, "fair conditions" would have no serious QSB or QRN which, of course,
means they are a bit better than average.

So I suppose 'fair conditions' could also be 'reasonable conditions', in the
true English tradition of understatement.

I would put fair conditions as just above Normal.

Looking in English->Spanish dictionaries I deduced that
fair conditions = regular conditions.

for me fair conditions = quite good

Generally it means average or very slightly above.

This is one of those English expressions which doesn't have an exact
meaning. I would normally use it to suggest that conditions were/are a
little above average, but not anything special. Perhaps 5.5 on a scale of 1
to 10.
Other people might use it to suggest just below average conditions!
English is a very strange language!

for me fair is less than quite good.
fair = barely ok , flat

Frm these replies I suppose that on a scale of 1 to 10 is 6.5 also for my
side is my vote.

Why this question ?

Last week I saw on Inet http://www.helmut-singer.de some militar
headphones with microphone,
the firm write "They are used, in fair condition, however untested.
To be sure that you can make at least one good one out of two untested
ones, we are offering them in parcels of two."

So I have bought 3 samples for a total amount including shipment TVA and
3,5% add. for payment with Visa of
Euros 91,16.

I have received the parcel containing 6 headphones, but I was vy surprised
to know that " fair conditions = shit ? " (sri for bad word).
So I have written to the seller

The seller reply to me :

>we clearly stated in our offer that the headphones are not in good
>condition. This is the reason why we are offering them in pairs, so that
>enthusiasts can clean them and make one good one out of two. If we are
>offering anything in "not good condition", then this should be clear.
