Hi Folks,
All what was wrote about MS FSK441 procedure is good and understandable
for, lets say, "Oldtimers", who was on the air with MSCW (I'm QRV since
1995). But try to remember - do many peoples was QRV that times
to compare with activity on FSK441 now?! So we need not only procedure
how to work on 144.370, but we need to think the ways and possibilities
how to explain this to all newcommers, who was QRV SSB and FM for the
years and never have such problems we are in now. Or you think we
have so many readers of this reflector and when we will decide to start
the procedure it will start next day? I don't think so...(but I want to be
wrong).
And concerning procedure - I have wrote that we need it some one year ago.
So we need to hurry up now to try it (if we will agreed something) during
Leonids
or Geminids or Quadrantids - later we will have a break until May and mostly
"big guns" will be the "palyers" on this field.
Briefly:
1. CQ + 'letter" (normal MSCW procedure);
2. CQ Uxx or CQ Dxx (Up or Down from calling frequencu on "xx" kHz);
3. CQ xxx ("xxx" - frequency where you will listen after CQ)
Something else??
I have never tryed 2. or 3. and have no idea do WSJT support it in setup
configuration (now I'm temporary QRT because of very high QRM level at
my QTH and looking for something close to the city but out of it...). So
you are an experts.
Thanks for reading this.
Best regards,
