[McHUG] Checkpoint for Timonium

Pete,

I am working with the Receiver module that is "matched?" with the PICetSat transmitter - very much like the SparkFun WRL-08949 - but from Canada. Because the Rookie kit, with its test jumpers, begs to be hacked, I'm attempting to power the Rookie from the Arduino, feed the Rx data to the input test jumper of the LMC567 sub-circuit and send the output from the LMC567 sub_circuit output test jumper to my Arduino digital input. I may have to add an LM386 to amplify the signal before sending it to the Rookie. The Rookie schematic is here: http://www.njqrp.org/rookey/ Right now the Arduino will just set an LED high or low depending on what it receives. When I get that working I will load Steve's Morse decoding software into the Arduino.

If I can get this setup to decode the PICetSat signal, then I will build the receiver, LM386 (if needed), and Rookie LMC567 sub-circuit onto an Arduino shield. It certainly won't have the capabilities of a 440 ham HT, but it will demonstrate the use of shields in a way that relates to the PICetSat. I simply want it to be able to listen to the PICetSat from across the room at the Hamvention.

I'm sure I will need help debugging - find all those pins that I haven't tied to ground. So by Sunday I hope to at least have something to debug.
