McHUG -- MicroController Ham User Group - Physical Computing for Ham Radio | |
About McHUG | |
The purpose of the McHUG list is to talk about physical computing in the context of Ham Radio. Physical Computing is "sensing and controlling the physical world with computers", in our case, microcontrollers like the PICAXE, Arduino, Butterfly or the HC908. Since hams may be new to microcontrollers, the topics can range from how to program various microcontrollers to applications such as frequency generation, antenna rotor control, morse code implementations and sensor/transmitter modules for high altitude balloons. In other words, the purpose of this list is to help hams play with microcontrollers. The initial subscribers will be from the Carroll County Amateur Radio Club.
