Folks-
I actually have two of the controllers first pictured in the article that
Steve linked. If anyone wants to try one, let me know.

Subject: [McHUG] Atmega128 Based Arduino Wiring Board
Folks;
There's an article on the Hackaday website about modifying a Futurlec (ETT)
Atmega128 controller board to behave like an Arduino Wiring board. The
article
is at:
http://jelengar.wordpress.com/2008/11/11/converting-29usd-et-avr-board-to-60-usd-wiring-compatible-board/
Or you can go to the Hackaday website http://hackaday.com/ and see the
article
link.
Pete W3GVX has one of these boards that he's been controlling an SI-570 chip
with. The modifications are simple - they all fit on one plug-in header. The
result is a board that has 128K of program space, 53 I/O pins, and 4K of RAM
(all quite a bit more than the base Arduino board.) Good for those really
big
projects!
No progress to report yet on the Arduino Packet code this weekend. Been
working
on repairing an LCD interface board that's decided to be fussy, and looking
at
that Acer Aspire One deal that Rich mentioned a couple days ago.
Happy Hacking!
