McHUGgers,
Happy Thanksgiving! The McHUG reflector has been relatively quite recently. But that doesn't mean that there has been no activity. We have been playing with Si570 and DDS-60 frequency generators and have working sketches and libraries for both. And I believe great progress is being made in the area of an Arduino that can do packet!
I haven't done too much with the Arduino in the past week or two because I've been trying to get a K2 back on the air that has been off for almost a year. With help from several it is back both on CW and SSB - just the internal ATU needs to be fixed now.
My old laptop crashed so I picked up an Acer Aspire One netbook - the one with XP home, 160 Gb hard drive and 6 cell battery. (I ordered it from Walmart.com on Saturday using Site to Store and picked it up at the store on Tuesday. Would you believe that it shipped from Harrisburg so had a real quick turn around.) Anyway, I have Arduino loaded on it and using the USB-to-TTL cable was able to load blink to the Barebones Board. The driver you need for Windows is in the Arduino environment. You just have to point XP to it. In my case: "C:\arduino-0012\drivers\FTDI USB Drivers".
