Pete,
I have the 6 cell, 160 GB hard drive version running XP home. I got mine through Walmart Site to Store, since USPS leaves packages at the mailboxes at the end of the lane. Steve got a bit better deal on his, which I believe is the same except for color.
The application that I would like to get going on the Acer is the SB 24 Live External Sound card. I have it working fine as an output device, but have not had much success with either the mic or the line in. If I can get that figured out then I can see how it will handle Rocky and a SoftRock device. I have the internal soundcard disabled.
It would also be nice to get it working as a serial terminal.
