[McHUG] PICAXE Again

McHUGgers,

Felt like I was going back in time. Got out the old breadboard with the PICAXE 08M on it. Loaded the latest PICAXE environment into the Acer and uploaded to the chip using a serial cable and adapter - worked fine. I added a small RS speaker to the board from P2 through a 10uF + cap. The 08M already has Jingle Bells, Silent Night and Rudolph in it. Got the ringtones for "Dueling Wisemen" and added that. Now all I have to do is solder it up in a small package and hang it from the Club Party Tree. Got some nice small round PC boards. Call it my "Tricked Out Tree" project.

By the way, the Acer works fine uploading to both the Arduino and the PicAXE with the serial adapter. But when you try to use it as a serial terminal as I am with the Serial LCD sample, it does not print letters to the LCD, just darkens the blocks. If you upload the Hello World LCD sample, which does not involve a serial terminal, it prints fine.

Rich, N3III
