Here is a message posted yesterday on the Yahoo Softrock40 group website
from Tony Parks about Lite-Xtall ship status and programmed frequencies.
There are atleast 3 of us waiting.

Re: [softrock40] Lite + Xtall progress report
Actual Si570 output frequency is 4x the desired center frequency.

Subject: [softrock40] Lite + Xtall progress report
Good Evening All,
Tom,KM5H. has the PIC code working well for use with the Lite+Xtall
kits. The table bleow shows the target frequencies for the sixteen
DIP switch codes, 0000 to 1111, (switch on is a 1 with LSB on the
right end of the switch pack). Mike, KF4BQ, has tested the code and
reports that nine of the center frequencies are within 50 Hz of the
targets and worst case difference between actual Si570 frequency
output and the target is 333 Hz. Tom's code compensates for
individual Si570 parts.
The target frequencies are spaced for 96 kHz soundcard sampling and
typically one CW and one General Class SSB center frequency are
provided on most of the HF bands.

I hope to finally start filling Lite+Xtall kit beta orders, both v8.0
and the synchronous clocked v8.1, later this week. The 12F683 PIC
included with each kit will be programmed with Tom's new code.
Tom is working with several prototypes of the v8.0 and v8.1 and a
built v8.1 was mailed to Mike today for additional testing.
Thanks for your interest in the project.

Tony KB9YIG
