Good morning,
Each day is a learning experience. I had a popup that got me searching. I
came across another HAM in Seneca. He graduated in 1930, immediately went
to radio school in the state of Louisiana, and got a radio engineer job in
NY. What I found was a qsl card, but his callsign was area 9 and not area
0. I was puzzled. WC0AA had waiting in my inbox this morning a map of the
US callsign areas for 1937. Kansas and 11 other states were area 9. This
got me to wondering what the first callsign of Dennis Mason was. Do you
have a response, Dennis? P.S. Not saying Dennis is of the antique age of
Davidson Vorhes, W9GFO, but the longest licensed living person that I know.
