[MCARC] 147.285 repeater repair

For what it's worth......

The Vertex VXR-7000 seems to be a decent repeater.  The Manhattan club has
one of the VHF units as their "emergency backup" and I just happen to be
currently storing it for them.  I'm sure they wouldn't mind if I loaned it
out for evaluation.  However, I'm sure they wouldn't want it permanently
deployed!

I happen to own a VXR-7000 UHF version of that repeater and I also have the
software and cable to program it (assuming I can find it) and I'd be glad
to either loan that out or do the programming if the club bought a unit.

There's usually several of them on eBay and if you are patient you can snag
a good deal on one.
