I think Hygain bought CDE and then MFJ bought Hygain.MS

I think the difference in the 2 at Bruces is one's front panel shows HyGain and other CDE.

Maybe. It does not have a label but looks the same as one labeled model H-IV/CD-45 at KB0DEU site.

I read this website this morning so believe it should be correct model for you.
No charge except maybe some elmering. I looked this morning after reading that article. The rotor here is Alliance brand.

Further research indicates that the Ham M & Ham IV control will work with the TR44 Series 3. Do you have an extra? Or a control with no rotor?ms

I may have one to fit your needs. I don't know about series though. It is a ham iv or cde. We've been trying to update KB0DEU as I noticed the other day his one that looked something like your picture here was not working. I cannot remember the model numbers. It has 8 wire connections. May be heading to KB0Deu qth later today.

Hello all.
I knew I had an old rotor stored away and I dug it out and disassembled, cleaned and put new lube on the bearings. I do not have a series 3 controller, which is different than the series 1 and 2. I have a series one rotor and controller which we have used on field day for the YAGI Hf antenna. If you know of some one who has a controller and wants to sell Let me know. And if you know someone who needs a TR44 rotor series 3 I would be interested in selling the one I just rebuilt. Pix attached.73ac0i
