I think the Pi will be as secure as any router running Linux and its
firewall. Only two ports are open--4569 for inbound AllStar connections
and SSH on a non-standard port. I'd have to open those ports on a
router anyway so not much gained that I can see by putting a router in
there.
I just don't want to inconvenience the techs if they use the modem to
their use when on site.
Anyway, I'd like to agree on a time next week to move it to the site and
get it going as I'm sure this will need to happen during business hours.
