Last week I happened to be scanning 2m and was half listening to one of
the nets on the 146.760 repeater from Lincoln and the NCS mentioned a
number of new and upgraded hams and mentioned one from Odell, NE.
That's about ten miles north of me but while the surname is familiar I
don't know the person.  I'm sure he could hit the 444.350 repeater
easily, but he may not know about it.  Not everyone knows about the
Repeaterbook Web site/app.

Incidentally, the op is a General so may be hanging out on HF.
