I've not written anything to our director as of yet as I really am not
sure just what of this is true or not or a good idea or not. Maybe Rick
is correct and this is just a big push by a bunch of ARRL haters, though
most of the things I've read are troubling on their own. I don't know.
Given the short time frame between the time this came to light--two
weeks ago--and that there really is no official word on any of this, I
am taking a wait and see attitude and see what comes out of this board
meeting. Unfortunately, I'm not too optimistic.
As members about all we can do when we really have a strong opinion
about ARRL's direction one way or the other is to contact our director
with our thoughts. The other option is to not renew our membership,
which isn't all that palatable to me. The final option open to
everyone, member or not, is to file comments with the FCC on the various
NPRMs that it releases.
