[MarinTeams] CERT Radio On-Air Communications Exercise tonight (Monday)

This Thursday we will be conducting our ongoing CERT Radio Communication
Classes.  Whether for the first time, or as a refresher, please take the
time to join us.  Trinity Community Church, San Rafael, 7:00PM-9:00PM.  For
those of you who are just starting, our quarterly License Class will be held
this Saturday, Nov. 9 at Trinity Community Church.

 

Thursday's Class:

  Class 1 - Introduction and propagation

  Class 2 - Radio Configuration

  Class 3 - Net Control Procedures

*  Class 4 - Message Handling and general review.

 

Tonight (Monday) we will be exercising our various means of connectivity as
part of the CERT Radio program.  We will be experimenting with messages that
involve triage reporting.

 

Please join us 7:00-7:30 PM on the air tonight, starting on Channel 5
(Central Marin Repeater, 146.775 (-) PL 127.3).  We will also make calls on
the Mill Valley Repeater, 146.775 (-) PL110.9, and on Channel 3 (145.640
simplex).   Our 448.300 simplex (no PL) cross band channel is available to
stations in So. Marin (Corte Madera, south) which links into the Central
Marin Repeater. 

 

Stations in Novato:  Set your Transceiver to  448.300 simplex to test the
Cross Band Repeater access to Central Marin.
