Thanks, Bill--
But my location in Bolsa Canyon in Mill Valley, immediately south of the
Warner Canyon, is blanked out from your repeater. Even with my 65-watt rig
and an x50 antenna up 30 feet. I could rx quite well, but could not hit the
repeater at all. I can't hit the Big Rock repeater, either, and must use
either the Tiburon or Mt. Tam inputs. Sorry.
Say, what's with this kindergarten-style callout on each and every
transmission, mentioning first the called station, then the calling station?
It seems stilted, unnecessary, pedantic, even ludicrous--I know it is not
used by Navy-Marine Corps MARS, is not suggested by ARRL, and is not
utilized by any of the several RACES nets I have checked into in Northern
California. Is there a good reason for it? I am eager to learn from you...
Cordially,
Michael
