The rings are circular arranged quadrature splitter/combiners of the 
branch line style. They are distinctive having four ports at equal 
(quarter wave) intervals around the circle. A rat race mixer ring (which 
can also be used as a splitter/combiner) is bigger in diameter, 3 
wavelengths with 3 segments 1/4 wave between the four ports and a long 
segment 3/4 wave long to complete the circle. As in mixers by Zack Lau 
and the DEMI 10 GHz transverter. Two for mixers and one for LO power 
splitter to the two mixers.

I think many DB6NT power amps come from DL2AM.

Did you notice the price for the 25 watt unit. I got a new car for that 
price in 1973.
