Granted, this is a ways out yet and this is VERY preliminary, but if you
think it would be fun to visit far Northern Minnesota, far Northern
Wisconsin or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to shoot microwaves across
the big lake (Superior), this is shaping up to be a great time! So far,
and subject to a lot of changes as far as staions involved and where
they will actually go, it could be an event of epic proportions for the
August weekend of the ARRL 10 GHz and Up 2012 contest....

UP--Keewenaw peninsula

We have a good level of interest, especially this far ahead of time.

Remember that nothing is in concrete. I you have any change to
the information above info please let me know and I will make the change.

For those of you who we haven't heard from, please let me know
if you are interested. If you are a definite NO, I would also like to know
that.

It may be time to start thinking about lodging for the weekend.
Who will take the lead?

I will be spreading the word to more of the Michigan group as well
as the St Louis group. I may even put something out on the Microwave
reflector just to stir up extra interest.

This could turn out to be the event in the country if we have decent weather
and if most of the people show up. Of course, if it is cold and rainy it could
be a bust. If it all works out it will certainly be worthy of a QST article.

More later as things develop.

73, Gary WBØLJC
