Wow, looks like a promising location! I'll have to download the data
for a few more grid squares to look at the path via Radio Mobile but I
hope it's fairly unobstructed to Illinois.

I wish I could operate from the hill where the WD9BGA beacon is. It's
on a hill at at about the same elevation.

My 10 GHz transverter had a phase-lock problem recently. I was using
one of those little ceramic half-turn trimmers to adjust the LO for
phase-lock. The cap eventually went bad. They are notorious for that.
So I replaced it with a 10-turn ceramic piston trimmer. I think that
cured it!
