I guess I had a microwave activity day today. It wasn't too bad. I
worked W9OBG on 902 and found my new transverter seems to be working
OK. We tried 3456 with no luck on either end and then I sent to him on
10 GHz and Wally didn't hear me there, either.

I then tried with Ron W9ZIH on 10 GHz and we worked with copyable
signals. We tried 3456 and both of us heard the other about S2-3. Ron
said he'd been having troubles with equipment on that band and didn't
know what it was. He left his beacon running for about 5 minutes and
then his signal started coming up in strength. It was peaking S9. I
transmitted and he said I was now strong at his end, too.

We didn't know if some enhancement had moved in or if he'd burned off
some water in his coax. So we tried 10 GHz again. Signals were a
little stronger and peaking about 2 or 3 degrees to the east of where
they were peaking before. So I suspect we got a little tropo
enhancement happening.

At least I know my 3456 isn't broke.
