Working with Don WW8M every Wednesday evening for 17 years on microwave projects. Tried, collected a pile of ideas. Bring it over, lets work as a group on it. Couple more suggestions.

One, was having a strong clean signal source. Wether it was 2304, or 24 GHz. A strong signal source got receive stuff working. Then could work with weak signal sources. Improve things. Several of those sources were loanable.

Two, was a working 24 GHz station, that was easy to compare any home built stuff against. One of my loaners.

Three, was a simple portable station, for me, my Sackrider Hill Special. That was easy to run around, set up and check people's station or project with. 1296 through 47 GHz.

Plan was. Get it running on the bench. Down the driveway. Then down the street. Then we had line of site, test ranges, known clear paths, at 6, 12 and 45 miles. Also, 35 miles over water. Western End of Lake Erie. Try stuff. Compare it.
