Pyro for a while had filters. Also had crystraled up, tuned up, tested LO microwave bricks also. Best to check his web site, and see what he might have.

And others. Seems like surplus has been running scarce last couple years.

Might try Hanger 18 for Microwave bricks.

Matter of keep digging.

Yes, there is no problem with just joining up sections of WR34 to WR42 etc. Some loss, but not much. Does not have to be rectangular either. Just as long as the wave guide used is below cutoff. And you are not worried about moding. Most of us are not. Amateur Radio standards vs Commercial user standards. Biggest problem is hole pattern alignment. Seems like there are lots of different patterns, hole configurations and flanges.

Experience has been, you wind up building several filters. Try different things, ideas. Measure. Compare. One common way of where to place the tuning screws. Really Easy with the thin K&S. Magnet, steel nut. Build up a section of waveguide. Mount it in front of a known filter to power meter. Input source. Use the magnet to run the steel nut up and down for best peak. Drill and mount there. Repeat. I used 2 x 56 hardware for this project. Worked just fine. On 47 GHz, it gets to be real fun. Real jewelry making.

Try stuff. Don't know until you do.

Checked storage. All out of spare WR42. I have some WR90, 75 and 19. Commercial made 6 hole flanges for WR90, and 4 hole flanges for WR42.
