[Lowfer] EAR antenna new life

Hello LowFERS…..parts of beacon EAR live on with a new purpose.
Half of the antenna has been converted to serve as a receive aerial
for the 630 meter band.  Initial tests of it are producing some good
results, but I’ll know better as the propagation improves, come the
shorter days of fall.

EAR might return to the air as a WSPR beacon on 630 meters, if I’m
able to find a stand-alone transmitter up to that task and that I could
afford.  Being a retired senior on a small pension is a difficult task in
these times of ever increasing prices!
