Hello LowFERS…..after much thought, I have decided not to do the required
repair work on beacon EAR’s antenna.  I simply can’t justify spending money
on the hardware that needs replacing to do the job right.  There are other
more pressing jobs around Aerial Acres that need to be done.

Beacon EAR was on the air for over 18 years, so it had a good run and it had
been captured at a DX distance record of more than 1,000 miles, which likely
wouldn’t be repeated or exceeded.

A big thank you to all that have filed reception reports and Argo snips over all
those years.  I bid you a farewell from EAR and I hope your LowFER DXing
continues well into the future!
