 Hello The Net:
I am still alive and well, also.
My Lowfer vertical antenna came down last year. One of the 3 guy anchor poles failed at ground level. The 3 guy anchor poles were 4" x 4" pressure treated stock, rated for ground contact. One just rotted out.Was kind of a soft failure, the anchor pole got caught up in the fencing and the antenna masting was bowed and very noticeable. I lowered the rest of the antenna and there were no catastrophic failures of the masting.I use MS-44 Mil masting at 52', it resonated at 4.1 MHz all by itself. Still working on loading coils and matching network.
Plan is to add 3 each galvi steel posts for the guy posts and put back up, maybe with a top loading coil.
Also will be looking at opening up the TX freq coverage of the IC-7300
Just lowered the 60' ROHN fold over tower in antcipation of the hurricane. Tower pivots at the base.I am slowly eliminating tower climbing.....
Exploring using a vertical wire along side the tower, isolated at the top and fed from the bottom matching network. Not sure how far offset the wire should be from the tower.  5'  ???  or more ??
Still having fun in my Ham Radio day.  I will give 160M a listen....
What is the best frequency for 474/137 KHz using WSPR ??    0.137000 and 0.474200 MHz ???

I'm still alive and so is the 13.555 square wave drifter.  Each year about
this time I think about putting NC lowfer back on.  The old circuit is
still intact with the TAG QRSS ID box connected.  Just need an antenna.

My main daily activity for the past several years has been operating 160M
at near mid-day.  Long story as to how this got started but I will say the
W1TAG W4DEX midday Wolf QSO had something to do with it.

A small group is currently meeting at 1630 daily on 1899 kHz.  We do SSB
until 1640 UT the set up individual 2 minute CW or carrier transmissions.
Results for several years are posted on this blog:

https://1899-khz-midday-prop-test.blogspot.com/

I usually upload near real time Spectrum lab screen captures until about
1700 UT.

We use Net Logger for liaison:    https://www.netlogger.org/
