Interesting signals here in NE IL this afternoon on 26 kHz. Not the
usual TACAMO MSK and RTTY but initially a wide, flat spectrum. This was
followed by a pair of carriers at ~ 26 kHz +/- 200 Hz. In case that was
RTTY I tried MultiPSK with settings of 425 and 450 Hz bandwidth at
several buad rates to no avail. Finally, those carriers became modulated
over individual bandwidths of ~ 75 Hz. While this was going on E6 plane
with callsign SHADO23 flying at 28,000 ft was noted at the border of TN
and NC, i.e. not too far from my reception QTH. Given the strength of
the signal that plane could be the source. But what it was sending was
not the TACAMO signals often present at UHF, nor was the frequency one
I've copied anything before. 3 additional cropped captures will follow
in additional emails.
