People often think they see a signal at 31.2 kHz. However, it is usually the 2nd harmonic of the horizontal oscillator in an
old TV or CRT display. There are no known stations using 31.2 (at least on a regular basis). Also, JJY is not MSK so I am
not sure what you saw.
I regularly see NWC, NPM, NLM/NRK hear in Virginia with a 26 inch active antenna (LF Engineering). Many wrongly think you
need a long antenna to receive. In many (most?) cases an E-field probe antenna can be better placed away from interfering
noise than a long antenna and do at least as well if not better for LF/VLF. (Someone asked what antenna you used but I have
not seen that answered yet.)
