[Lowfer] Watering Hole Lowfers - end of year

Normally, I'd be getting in on all this here, too. But a recent windy day jangled something in nearby powerlines, and I now have an S9+20dB raspy noise level across the board. I have tried to localize the source with no definitive results so far. I've also been in touch with the utility but, given the holidays and low-single-digit daytime temperatures, there has been no apparent progress to date.

Must be propagation conditions.

All of my local readings look normal here. Continued cold overnight (2F) 
with bare ground will mean the freeze line will be going deeper. 
Forecast is for even colder temps.
