Most of the ones that are actual comm-like signals
in that band are
operating under Part 15 limits, where CW is nearly
useless for any
substantial distance on a regular basis.

Respectfully:
When I was deeply involved some years ago out
west, I made
dozens of recordings of Lowfer beacons from coast
to coast.
All of them were CW IDs received with ears and a
brain.
I made many CW QSOs myself. The first reception
from
California to Hawaii was done using CW and ears.
Unless one lives in an urban noise-hole,
CW is just as viable today as it was then.
We think it isn't because we've seen
the distance advantages of small-signal digital
decoding
at the expense of the exchange of actual
information.
To think how long it would take to send "Merry
Christmas, OM..."
Many have forgotten that "decode distance"
is not the be-all-and-end-all for everyone in this
field.
We've told ourselves that "CW won't work" and
instead of
questioning that assumption, some, desiring to be
part
of the community, adopt the group cannon and keep
repeating it.
Being often-repeated does not make error into
truth.
I do hope some will occasionally send a CW ID.
