Thanks for the report Garry. I am really happy to see the MM / vertical 
make the trip in daytime.

Yes I saw the frequency dropping after the sun started hitting the 
exciter.  I shut it down and swapped the crystal based synth (no gps) to 
one modded with a TXCO. It should stay on freq now.

For this experiment I am running the QRPLabs Arduino shield with just 
one output FET. I did modify some component values to improve it's LF 
performance.  It's output on 12v is a little over 200 mW.
