Thanks David!  That's a perfect fit for what I've been hearing.  The 
signal is always stronger during the day on a 60M dipole compared to a 
60M 1/4 wave vertical.  The dipole has an elevated reflector about 12 
feet below producing a bit higher angle pattern.
