Monitored 518 kHz Navtex with one eprobe/sdr-iq and was pleased to see
west coast decodes from 4 area 12 stations (C,H,Q, and W). In addition,
area 4 station M in Simiutaq/Cape Farewell yielded 2 messages. Haven't
decoded Greenland for quite awhile. Think it's been in there fine but
loudmouth station N in Chesapeake, Virginia overwhelms it. bit earlier
I'm pretty sure station I sent a short "no message" message from
Upernavik/Disko Island, Greenland but it failed to decode.
Station N often transmits clear through the station P time slot. For
some reason last night it had very little traffic; hence, M came through
fine. In fact, once after N dekeyed it was clear that area 12 station O
in Hawaii was present, but it was too weak to decode anything.
At local sunrise was still decoding plenty of DGPS stations from the
west (for example, 315 kHz, Spokane, WA; 313 kHz, Billings, MT; 312 kHz,
Austin, NV; 307 kHz, Pueblo, CO; 303 kHz, Myton, UT; 294 kHz, Klamath
Falls, OR; and 291 kHz, Albuquerque, NM).
474.2 kHz WSPR signals from VE7BDQ and VE7CNF begain decoding early last
night, a clue that propagation was good to the west. Too bad WH2XCR in
Hawaii wasn't on last night.
VLF Alpha signals were unimpressive here and WSPR SNRs from WD2XES and
WH2XXR on 136 kHz seemed pretty normal.
