Lowfer Enthusiasts – A few suggestions –

When we respond to a Lowfer posting, please, all of us should remember to "trim our posts." Which means delete everything that doesn't have immediate relevance to the reply we will make.

When I, and that matter, others read the your posting, we will not have to plow through “repeat after repeat” of the “same old, same old” in order to find your reply. I am sure your reply does positively contribute to the discussion on hand. In my opinion, having to weed out the repeats ad nausium detracts from the value of what your follow up comments are. Case in point, the December 22, 2016 discussions on E-Field probes. There is some very valuable and unique first hand “how I did it” information in these postings......assuming the reader does not give up weeding through the same old / same old to find that information.

Maybe the true culprit is we are over using our e-mail client’s REPLY or FORWARD function?

A second suggestion - This message board, as well as other message boards, are friendly places for people with similar interests to share their thoughts, questions, experiences, knowledge, etc. When we author a posting, I see no reason to use the most recent edition of "The Queen's Proper English." However, colloquial expressions and “overly familiar burps” may not be translatable, or might even be considered offensive to the reader whose primary language is not the North American English dialect.
