WD2XES is running CMSK8 mode tonight on 137.700 kHz until 0330Z or so.

CMSK software may be downloaded from:
http://www.qsl.net/zl1bpu/CMSK/cmsk.htm

After making the usual soundcard selections, click CMSK8 on the lower
right side of the screen. If you put your receiver in CW mode, and set
the dial to 137.700 kHz, then you will have to click on the BFO pitch in
the waterfall. In my case, that's 800 Hz, but yours may vary. The
transmit frequency is very close to 137.700 exactly. If you decide to
use USB mode, then the target pitch is 1700 Hz.

When properly tuned, the tuning indicator shows a circle centered on the
Y-axis, with vertical lines spaced equally on both sides. That may be
difficult to see with a weak signal. Twiddling the fine tune slider
under the tuning indicator will allow you to center the signal.

Earlier tests of this mode didn't show the expected promise, but it
won't hurt to try again from time to time.

Reports are welcome.

John, W1TAG/WD2XES
