Likewise LF/MF propagation has been close to dismal lately here in
EN90xn. I started cleaning all my connectors, etc.,
thinking I had a rx system issue. I did notice the GEOS nanoTesla geomag
values have been higher than normal, perhaps contributing to the poor
skywave. I still hear daytime NDBs out 300 miles or more at usual signal
strengths. The increased T-storm activity certainly does not help, but it
seems like other Earth-Solar interaction factors have been in play as well.
On the bright side, the last traces of what were once 3 foot piles of
snow from driveway shoveling are gone and the April 15 annual paperwork
ritual is close to complete here. In a few weks I may even find time for a
radio bench tinkering session....perhaps even give 185.3 and 137 kHz a
listen over the chilly weekend....73, Mike wa3tts.
