Speaking of Loran and other signals on 100 KHz....

I received an "Ameriphone Call Alert CA-100/200RX Remote" today, which I 
THOUGHT was similar to a Radio Shack Fone Flasher in that you plug it in AC, 
connect a phone line and when the phone rings a lamp plugged into it 
flashes.

Well, this unit has no phone cord or jack!

In reading the instructions, one plugs it into an outlet, and a lamp into 
the device, on the top is an on/off switch.  No phone connection at all.

Seems there is a master transmitter that matches this and when the phone 
rings, it sends out a control signal on 100 KHz over the household AC line.

I don't have the master TX yet, which appears to remotely control a half 
dozen devices or so.  I wonder if people pick up the stray mystery signal on 
100 KHz and wonder the source?

When I get a TX, I'll see what it sends out and let the group know.
