[Lowfer] WH2XND in EN90xn....

Hi Jim: OK, thanks for info. I switched to only a single receiver ( FT-847
with 1800Hz Inrad xtal filter) and my better external sound card and had XND
copies up until about 1000 UTC. Best around -19 although they have not
posted yet on the database. Last time that happened the spots posted later
in the day....
Antenna here is an 18' x 70' x 18' EWE with 10.5:1 type75 binocular
transformers on each end with a pair of 150~175 ft RG6QS feed lines to shack
with a common mode choke scheme.
LF converter listening on SW transformer and NE transformer terminated in
about 80~90 ohms in the shack.
Homebrew LF converter consists of 3.0 MHz Isotemp OCXO, single-ended Norton
2N5109 LO driver amp, RAY6 MiniCircuits Level 23 DBM, W1VD (web page) design
2N5109 LF preamp, 7th order 500kHz Butterworth LPF, 3.3MHz diplexer, and a
high-Q IF preselector (W1VD 500khz preselector scaled to 3.2~3.5 MHz)....
A few -30 SNRs last nite so my "filter compression" on the SNR numbers not
too adverse---but necessary to quell the suburban noise environment here....
XIQ tells me XND was likely running more power than indicated with antenna
improvements made...
