Mike & All: I put the Type 75 binocular transformers back on my EWE antenna this afternoon. A radio check last nite confirmed I had no F/B ratio and way too much 120Hz harmonic noise at VLF. Apparently when I swapped the orginal transformers back in I inadvertently used the internal 1K ohm resistor to GND as  (zero ohm) GND connection, which destroyed the antenna pattern.  Seems to be OK now and the 4kHz HPF seems to help SNR somewhat below 20kHz....
