This may or may not be your problem ...
The sound card sampling rate is locked by the first program that starts and accesses the sound card.
Additional programs accessing the soundcard that are started after the first program are forced to
live with first program's desired sampling rate.

Thank you for the input Jay : That info may have just hit the bullseye... I don't know why I
like to listen to low frequency rumble... But I do... and since ARGO does not output sound,
I use DSP Filter to listen with.. I have 2 sound cards.. ARGO uses the default Input card,
and DSP Filter does too !! So I have 2 programs accessing the Input sound card at the same
time, and DSP Filter is sending audio to the default output sound card.. Not knowing this
issue, I have not paid attention to which program I start first.. I do know for sure that for
overnight monitoring, I have nothing but ARGO running, and have No Problem with frequency
jumps...
Thanks again Jay... I will watch to see if this happens while both programs are running,
and specifically by opening DSP Filter first to see what ARGO does..
