Mike, Ok on the short, light overnite traces. Back in early Jan the
signal to your location was fairly light also. My main effort right now
is to get the beacon working at the same potential as then.
On the light hearted side;
If you could luck into some brass screen wire from an old-timey lumber
yard you could make a Faraday cage to enclose everything. That should
reduce the background noise.
