Steve,
Notice of Proposed Rule Making, the last step before writing the actual
regulations. In this case, it's a call for ideas on how to prevent PLC
interference. The topics appear to be separation between transmitting
antennas and PLC-carrying power distribution systems, and some
limitation on transmitter power output in addition to the 1W/5W EIRP
baseline regulations.
They certainly are bending over backwards for the power transmission
industry. Or buying themselves another 5 years... </editorial>
