Garry, Jay & All: Interesting observations Gary. I seem to hear DHO38 on
23.4 24/7 and stronger at night, 21.4 NPM is usually stronger in the early
to mid morning here
and HWU on 20.9 is usually 24/7 but not very strong. Occassionally I hear
GBZ on 19.6 but it is not that stong and competes with local 20kHz switching
supply noise...
When HWU is on 18.3 I hear it fairly well. No Alphas heard here yet
although my antenna transformers get lossy below 18 kHz....
I see some cheap 3.000 xtals on e-bay that would match my 3.000MHz LO so I
may try a 3.000MHz notch filter on the
IF output this winter. If I can get the IF receiver into a non-saturated
condition with 40~50dB of LO attenuation on the IF, I might actually hear
something in analog mode other than intermod products below 20kHz...
I see slant mode coming through on SIW....will post shortly.....
