[Lowfer] WSPR2 reception reports of BDQ and /20 at WG2XIQ

Garry, John, Eric: Yes, I was just reviewing the SNRs myself. Again no west
coasts decodes from TTS but I can be down 10dB
from Eric's array and he only had a few captures of BDQ and XSH/20 at
numbers that would put me close to -30 or beyond. I my
antenna and the new converter did seem to keep pace with Eric's system on
the overnight XIQ captures, with occassional parity or
better at times. That is encouraging for me. I may run the (modified) Heath
converter for an evening just to compare. With the (modified) Heath
converter
I have AM BC low pass filtering before and after the pre-amp transistor,
which may be helping the blocking dynamic range figure.....(I have a few
strong AM stns in the 540 to 750 kHz range that are not that far down the
slope of the LPF curve). The new RAY-6 converter I am using presently only
has an LPF in
front of the preamp stage with limited attenuation at the low end of the AM
BC band.
